About Andrea

Hello! I am Andrea D. Schmidt. Writer. I have always loved to write. When I was a little girl I would write about kings and queens and a city spoon who ran off to marry a farmer fork (which is exactly what I did, a story for another day.) Today, I love to write stories of hope. Stories to remind us all that we can find joy, even though our plans may fail.

I have B.A. in English, a degree in Secondary Education and a Minor in Psychology (I know this dates me, but remember when they used to make us get ‘minors’ too?) 

My life long dream of writing is finally coming true. Please join me and my characters as we find joy in our “Someplace Else.”

When I am not writing, you can find me homeschooling my son, sipping on a latte that cooled too fast and chasing after the combine to deliver a meal to my husband.
